Dr. Ron Scott is in his fifth year as studio instructor for clarinet and saxophone at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, where he also teaches music theory and other core curricula music courses. He initiated the String Orchestra program at the University in 2004, and currently serves as its conductor. As a clarinetist, Dr. Scott has toured as a member of Keith Brion's New Sousa Band and performed in the symphony orchestras of Laredo, Lubbock, Corpus Christi and Victoria. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama, a masters degree from the University of Tennessee, and a Ph.D. from Texas Tech University.
